WARR ACRES, Okla. - Police are looking for a man accused of stealing an iPad from a Warr Acres pawn shop.

On Feb. 25, police said a man walked into a pawn shop near N.W. 50th and Meridian and stole an Apple Air iPad from behind the counter.

"I kind of went into a panic, because everything is on that iPad. I use it day and night," said Tyler Potts, manager at Kirk's Pawn Shop.

Surveillance video captured the whole thing, Potts said.

"This is when he goes for it, and he does it so quick," Potts said, as he was watching the video.

Potts said the suspect claimed he was looking for a birthday present for his dad.

But, the man in the video had other plans.

"The employee had turned his back for a moment, and he saw his opportunity and just reached over and grabbed it," said Detective Sgt. John Gray, Warr Acres Police Department.

Potts said the $400 iPad has all of his personal information on it, such as bank accounts and a home monitoring service.

Fortunately, the device has a serial number assigned to it, so the suspect will be in for a big surprise if he tries to sell it.

"If he takes it to any pawn shop, and they run a check on it, it will come up on the hot sheet," Potts said.

While Potts said he has done everything to protect his personal information, he hopes someone will recognize the suspect in the video.

"Kind of dumb for doing it, but I hope I get it back," Potts said.

If you recognize the suspect, you're asked to call the Warr Acres Police Department at 405-769-3329.

Kirk's Pawn Shop is also offering a cash reward for the iPad's return.
