iOS 9.3 Jailbreak: Here We Go Again! - Neurogadget

Perhaps there is pressure on technology companies to keep on upgrading, updating. While they do these with the end-users in mind, they also need to pay attention to the upkeep of their existing software.

Despite the bugs on iOS 8 and iOS 9, it did not ebb the market's anticipation for newer versions. At least, not in the case of the iOS 9 since the jailbreaking community has not had any substantial activity as far as this version is concerned.

When Apple released its iOS 9.3 beta, it seemed a bit too premature considering that the computer technology company's iOS 9.2 was still in trial. It could very well be too early to release beta of iOS 9.3 for there is already news about jailbreaking it.

Jailbreak for iOS 9.1, 9.2

The jailbreaking community sure had a lot of fun and frustration trying to break into the first versions of iOS 9, which according to news is supposedly impenetrable.

There was jailbreak activity for the iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2, but it was not that massive to create clamor in the community. Italian developer-slash-hacker Luca Todesco tweeted earlier that he successfully jailbroken an iPhone with iOS 9.2, but said he would keep things to himself.

In the end, the public did not get any jailbreak tool to breach iOS 9's early installments. Perhaps Apple can thank Todesco's selfishness for that, granted he did jailbreak iOS 9.2.

Todesco Jailbreaks iOS 9.3

With that said, Todesco's recent announcement of jailbreaking iOS 9.3 seems like another shot to the jailbreaking community who still cannot get the jailbreak tool for the previous update.

The recent jailbreak has got everyone teased and maybe a bit annoyed. Here comes one guy, the only guy to ever claimed to have jailbroken the impenetrable iOS 9.2, and now he claims to have jailbroken iOS 9.3?

It is insane. Really. The ever more popular Todesco said he had jailbroken iOS 9.3 beta a day after its official release. But is this for real?

Well, Todesco did post a video to prove his claim, showing the unmistakable Cydia icon and the Night Shift function Apple promised for its iOS 9.3.

By opening Cydia on the seamless video, Todesco not only has jailbroken his iPhone to make it run on iOS 9.3, but has in fact completely jailbroken the software beta update.

What's next?

Currently, the jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2.1 is in beta stage since December 17, 2015. The jailbreaking community has a lot of catching up to do. They are still out there figuring out iOS 9.2, and now Apple has released iOS 9.3 beta – both of which has been jailbroken by someone who does not want to share anything.

If Todesco would release in public his jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 and keep the iOS 9.3 jailbreak to himself, that would be expected, too.

However, would the jailbreaking community be all over iOS 9.2 now that another update is here, and the prospect of it jailbroken? Perhaps now they are already refocusing their energies on jailbreaking iOS 9.3.

Still, a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 is a valuable one for those who have been waiting patiently for it, and are not updating to iOS 9.3 in the near future.

Apple, on the other hand, is surely keeping its promise. Its latest update is getting harder to jailbreak than its predecessor – a sign that iOS may be heading to the direction of absolute impenetrability. But not if Todesco can help it.
