2016 will be yet another big year for Apple (AAPL). And rumors are already swirling concerning the iPhone, iPad Air 3, 2016 Macbook and Apple Watch 2.

The Cupertino, Calif.-based consumer technology company will look to reassure fair-weather investors, who have since lost a bit of confidence in CEO Tim Cook's product vision following a mixed Q1 earnings report. Last year, Cook revealed the first new product line under his reign as CEO; the Apple Watch. In 2016, many analysts expect Apple to sell the Apple Watch 2, iPhone 7, new software and a variety of other innovative tech products. In an effort to cut through the online rumor mill and to offer a convenient list of information, we've tracked down some of the most prominent rumors tied to 2016 Apple products—including on iPhone 7, MacBook, Apple Watch 2 and iPad Air 3.

iPhone 5se

A 4-inch iPhone is expected in the first half of 2016, according to multiple Apple blogs and forums, that will be called a iPhone 5se. It will reportedly leverage a mix of technology from the iPhone 6 and 6S in a smaller package that will be attractively priced. The move could be especially advantageous as the SE model is expected to release between the iPhone 6S and 7 launch cycles. 9to5Mac writes: "assuming Apple doesn't part from its pricing structure or display sizes for iPhones, the iPhone 7 will cost $649 for base model storage and the iPhone 7 Plus will cost $749 with the same storage capacity. A truly new 4-inch version of the iPhone 7 would need to cost less than $649, like be priced at $549, and have the side effect of lowing the entry level price for a brand new flagship iPhone."

iPhone 7

Speaking of the iPhone 7, Apple's upcoming flagship model, is expected to remove the headphone jack and may transition to a USB-C port as well (following in the footsteps of the 2015 Macbook). Also of note: Apple's newest iPhone will bring a next-generation A10 processors produced by TSMC, according to MacRumors. KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the Calif-based company will once again sell the iPhone in two different sizes (4.7 and 5.5-inches in length), banking off the success of the iPhone 6 Plus. But it's also possible a third iPhone model sporting different hardware will also be sold. This 3rd line will be geared towards customers interested in higher quality photography, AppleInsider reports.

iPad Air 3

The iPad Air 2 is ready for a new version, and it's been more than a year in the making. The product is desperate for some updates and it will be interesting to see what concepts from the Apple iPad Pro will leak into newer versions of Apple's lagging iPad Air and iPad Mini models. The iPad Air has not been updated since October 2014 but 2016 may change that streak. In February, a series of leaked product schematics showed that the new iPad air will bring LED flash support, an improved speaker system, 4K display, 4G of RAM and better battery life.

2016 Macbook

The 2016 Macbook is expected to follow suit with some of the radical changes made via the 2015 Macbook. For clarity sake, we will only focus on the 2016 Macbook rather than the Air or Pro version. A single USB-C charging port will act as the only export/import outlet (dongles will be required). The release date will likely be June. From the hardware side, rumor has it that the new model will carry a Intel SkyLake processors that will increase performance by upwards of 20 percent and battery life by 30 percent. A new graphics card could spike graphics performance significantly Other publications have mentioned changes from the 2015 to 2016 Macbook like: upgraded internal storage options and a sleeker and slimmer profile due to redesigns in the body.

Apple Watch 2

When it comes to the Apple Watch, there's two timeframes to watch: March and September. In Apple's first media event, expected for March 15, the Watch will likely receive some minor updates, a new OS, some extra gear and a flurry of 3rd party apps to create new use cases. As such, the Apple Watch 2 will probably not be unveiled until later in the year, after more software has been developed around the product, so that it can succeed. According to TechRadar, the pricing and product line structure (sport and edition) for Apple's Watch 2 will be similar in nature; $350 for the Sport and $550 for the Edition. This time around, however, Apple is employing a supplier called Apple used a supplier called Quanta. Phone Arena also reported that the Watch 2 will carry a video camera, enabling users to make and receive video FaceTime calls.

5th Generation Apple TV

According to Digitimes, Apple is currently working on a trial production of a fifth-generation Apple TV. The last version was released last Fall, but a new model could be on sale in 2016. Digitimes suggests that the new model will bring a CPU that will "dramatically improve the device's hardware performance." We do know that Apple has reportedly abandoned there hopes of a live streaming service (similar to television), due to longstanding challenges between the company and many major networks.
